Our client seeks a dynamic Product Engineer to drive business growth in the Engine Cooling Systems segment for Military Land Vehicles.
They need a Product Engineer to work remote in the US ideally based near Boston, Philadelphia or Detroit.
The Product Engineer is the technical lead in the US for the company and will direct customer engagement, technical sales support and proposal development.
The Product Engineer should be a subject matter expert in the field who has worked at prime vehicle integrators to design and develop vehicle cooling systems and thermal management systems.
Responsibilities:
* Review customer requirements, prepare, deliver technical concepts to customers.
* Identify and develop new business opportunities in tandem with the sales team in North America.
* Provide technical sales support for engine cooling systems, including fans, heat exchangers, and integrated thermal management solutions.
* Ensure customer needs are translated into viable solutions to secure opportunities.
* Represent company at industry trade shows, exhibitions, and customer meetings
* Ensure alignment with goals for revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and strategic positioning.
* Act as the key technical point of contact for key military vehicle OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
* Build maintain customer relationships with procurement, engineering, and program managers
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of customer programs.
* Support contract negotiations and manage changes working with commercial and legal teams.
* Negotiate and manage technical program scope during the bid and delivery phase.
Requirements:
* BS in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
* 10 + years of experience in product management and/or technical sales.
* Technical background in thermal management systems, particularly engine cooling technologies.
* Proven track record of sales success in complex, engineered products.
* Experience working with, designing, and/or selling vehicle cooling systems.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills with technical and commercial audiences.
* Experience with military procurement processes and compliance requirements.
* US citizenship required travel up to 30% domestically and occasionally international.
