Design Drafter

We are partnering with a growing mechanical and electrical engineering design firm supporting commercial, retail, residential, and structural building projects across the region. Due to continued growth, we are looking to add an Engineering Drafter to our team.

The Engineering Drafter will work closely with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to produce Revit and AutoCAD drawings for building construction projects.

You will help transform engineering concepts into clear, accurate, and buildable plans used by contractors and construction teams.

• Create detailed Revit and AutoCAD drawings for mechanical and electrical building systems
• Produce plans, sections, details, and construction documentation packages
• Convert engineering markups and sketches into coordinated drawing sets
• Update drawings throughout project life cycles based on design revisions
• Work closely with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to understand design intent
• Coordinate drawings across disciplines to reduce clashes and design conflicts
• Incorporate feedback from engineers, architects, and project managers
• Participate in internal project coordination meetings

• Ensure drawings follow company standards and drafting best practices
• Maintain organized project files and drawing version control
• Verify accuracy of dimensions, symbols, and annotations
• Support preparation of construction document packages

• Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of drafting standards and construction documentation
• Ability to interpret engineering sketches and redlines
• Familiarity with building systems (mechanical, electrical, or structural)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

• 1–5+ years of drafting experience in an engineering, architecture, or construction environment
• Experience working on MEP or building design projects
• Associate degree or certificate in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred but not required
