ReSource Waste Services operates a differentiated waste-to-value model and plays a critical role in supporting New England’s circular economy. The company’s highly experienced team operates a robust trucking and container operation, collecting waste material and using state-of-the-art technology to create high-quality recycled materials that are sought after by manufacturers of eco-friendly products. All of ReSource’s processing facilities — located in Roxbury, MA;
Lewiston, ME;
Epping, NH; and Salem, NH — are certified by the Recycling Certification Institute (RCI). Contractors working on projects seeking LEED green‑building certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) can earn credits toward that certification by delivering C&D debris generated by the project to any of our RCI‑certified facilities.

Provide leadership, professional knowledge and expertise in the development, implementation and monitoring of environmental strategies, policies and programs that promote compliant and sustainable operation of the Company’s recycling/processing facilities and waste hauling operations. Responsible for the overall coordination of environmental permitting and compliance activities to ensure positive relationships with regulators and compliance with regulatory agency guidelines and Company policies. Manages all spending for the environmental department, oversees consultants and contractors during site development and permitting, and ensures the Company’s facilities operate in compliance with all applicable regulations.

Essential Functions include but not limited to interfacing with employees, public, regulatory agencies, business partners and stakeholders; permitting; compliance; and working on corporate initiatives and policies.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or similar field.
• Minimum 5 years, but prefer 10+ years’ experience in implementation of environmental permitting, compliance and management programs.
• Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) a plus.
• Experience in waste management and recycling a plus.
• Business knowledge and ability to learn how the Company’s operations work.
• Project management skills.
• Thorough knowledge of environmental regulations relating to solid waste, material recovery/recycling, and groundwater management.
• Proven ability promoting a safety-first culture and influencing employees at all levels.
• High attention to detail.
• Excellent listening, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Competence with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
• Willingness to travel among company facilities, operations and offices throughout Eastern New England.
