About the Role
We are seeking a motivated professional to join our team as a Building Envelope Consultant
. This role combines technical expertise, problem‑solving, and client engagement to diagnose and resolve complex building envelope challenges. You will work on historic and modern structures, ensuring safety, performance, and client satisfaction.
- Investigate and resolve building envelope issues through on‑site assessments, testing, and forensic analysis.
- Manage a portfolio of client projects, ensuring timely delivery of proposals, reports, budgets, and presentations.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop practical solutions.
- Lead and coach team members to achieve project goals and maintain high standards.
- Conduct site visits across Boston, including historic properties and high‑rise structures.
- Perform hands‑on tasks such as leak testing, photography, and occasional physical work (e.g., climbing ladders, using tools).
- Ensure compliance with Boston and Massachusetts building codes and intervene when safety or quality standards are not met.
- Create clear, well‑organized documents, CAD drawings, and spreadsheets for client presentations.
- PE License (Professional Engineer) preferred
- 5+ years of experience
- Strong experience in building envelope systems and restoration
- Curiosity and analytical skills to solve complex technical problems.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication skills for building lasting client and team relationships.
- Proficiency in document layout, CAD, and spreadsheet tools.
