Systems Engineer
Overview
LS Technologies, a Tetra Tech Company, is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Air Mobility (AAM)/NAS Systems Engineer to support the Volpe Center under the Transportation Technical Engineering and Mission Support (TTEMS) program.
Responsibilities- Provide operational grounding for AAM/NAS concepts
- Advise on ML/GIS analytic design and HITL testing
- Translate ops needs into modeling/simulation requirements
Required: A successful candidate will have
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 12+ yrs aviation or NAS operations; advisory experience.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- At least 3 years experience in transportation modernization
- Aviation, AAM or safety critical systems background
- Previous experience in a federal or aviation-related environment
- Work location:
Boston, MA is Volpe Headquarters; contractors may work from client sites across the country - Position is:
Likely Hybrid; depends on client needs - Work Hours:
CORE hours- 9 am-4 pm ET - Travel: 10%
- Physical requirements:
Extended Computer Use – Regular and prolonged periods of working at a computer terminal. - Background check:
