Overview

LS Technologies, a Tetra Tech Company, is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Air Mobility (AAM)/NAS Systems Engineer to support the Volpe Center under the Transportation Technical Engineering and Mission Support (TTEMS) program.

• Provide operational grounding for AAM/NAS concepts
• Advise on ML/GIS analytic design and HITL testing
• Translate ops needs into modeling/simulation requirements

Required: A successful candidate will have

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 12+ yrs aviation or NAS operations; advisory experience.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• At least 3 years experience in transportation modernization
• Aviation, AAM or safety critical systems background
• Previous experience in a federal or aviation-related environment

• Work location:
  
  Boston, MA is Volpe Headquarters; contractors may work from client sites across the country
• Position is:
  Likely Hybrid; depends on client needs
• Work Hours:
  
  CORE hours- 9 am-4 pm ET
• Travel: 10%
• Physical requirements:
  
  Extended Computer Use – Regular and prolonged periods of working at a computer terminal.
• Background check:
  Must have ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
