If The Shoe Fits (ITSF) is a footwear technology company building software that enables custom‑fit high heels using smartphone-based 3D scanning. Our platform captures the geometry of a customer’s foot and translates that data into digital models used to support precise fit and manufacturing workflows.

We are building foundational infrastructure that bridges consumer hardware (iPhone LiDAR), 3D geometry processing, and digital manufacturing. Our goal is to modernize footwear sizing by replacing standardized assumptions with real geometric data.

We are seeking a Software Engineer Intern to support development of our early scan‑processing and 3D modeling pipeline.

This role will involve working with 3D scan data and helping develop systems that:

• Process and manipulate 3D mesh and scan data
• Clean, align, and standardize geometry
• Generate usable 3D outputs for downstream applications
• Support development of early technical infrastructure for scan‑based workflows
• This is an early‑stage, high‑ownership role. You will work directly with the founder and contribute to foundational technology being built from the ground up.

Required:

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, C++, or similar)
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work with technical data structures
• Ability to work independently in an early‑stage startup environment
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Preferred (not required):

• Experience working with 3D data, meshes, or spatial data
• Familiarity with computer vision, graphics, or geometry‑related coursework or projects
• Exposure to LiDAR, AR, CAD, or 3D scanning technologies
• Experience with technical libraries such as Open3D, OpenCV, Blender, or similar
• Interest in early‑stage startups, product development, or building new systems
