We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and creative optical engineer to join our expanding team focused on optical design services and advanced optical system development. In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse group of engineers to design and build innovative products for a wide range of consumer, industrial, medical, and aerospace applications.

This environment is ideal for engineers who enjoy participating in every stage of product development-from concept creation, modeling, and simulation to hands-on prototyping and laboratory testing. You'll have the opportunity to bring your designs to life and see them transition into manufactured products. A strong candidate brings demonstrable engineering skills, with a proven ability to develop, analyze, and deliver successful designs. We welcome seeing examples of your work and digging into technical details.

Requirements
  • Highly motivated individual with 7+ years of innovative work experience in optical or electro-optical systems, contributing both as a technical expert and as a project leader
  • Broad experience in optical design; exposure to diverse optical challenges is highly valued
  • Desired expertise includes:
  • Lens design across UV to LWIR wavelengths (experience with Zemax Optic Studio preferred)
  • Illumination design and non-sequential ray tracing
  • Radiometry and photometry
  • Physical optics and interferometry
  • Enjoys hands‑on laboratory work
  • Comfortable building and testing your own designs
  • Experience using optical test equipment such as interferometers, autocollimators, spectrophotometers, etc.
  • Degree in Optics or Physics; postgraduate degree preferred but not required
  • US citizenship or permanent residency required
