A growing robotics company building next generation mobile automation platforms is seeking a hands on Lead Electrical Engineer to own electrical architecture across its robotic systems.
Responsibilities- Own end to end electrical architecture for mobile robotic platforms spanning power, motion, communications and sensing
- Design DC power systems including distribution, protection, pre charge and regenerative energy handling
- Lead PCB development for onboard electronics covering power management, communications and telemetry
- Define CAN based communication hardware and support real time control networks
- Drive testing and validation from bench level through system and field deployment
- Lead electrical root cause analysis and embed improvements into future designs
- 7 + years experience in robotics, automation, mechatronics or complex industrial systems
- Proven ownership of system level electrical design across power, motion and communications
- Strong experience with DC bus architectures and dynamic power environments
- Hands on PCB design and hardware bring up experience
- Working knowledge of CAN bus
- Comfortable troubleshooting EMI, grounding, signal integrity and field reliability issues
- Confident working both at system architecture level and hands on in the lab
- Experience with industrial automation, safety systems or early stage product development environments is beneficial.
