Salary Range: $170,000 - $210,000

This organization develops and operates large-scale generation facilities across the country, with a strategic focus on modernizing domestic power infrastructure through the adoption of advanced, low‑carbon generation technologies. They are seeking a Project Development Engineer Leader to join their Engineering & Construction team based out of their Boston office. This is a senior individual contributor role with team leadership responsibilities, sitting at the heart of the organization’s project development function. You will lead the end‑to‑end development of large thermal generation projects spanning site evaluation, technology selection, layout development, permitting, interconnect, and through to contract execution and financial close.
You will manage a cross‑functional team of internal and external resources and serve as a key point of coordination across engineering, environmental, commercial, and leadership stakeholders.

Theideal candidate should have the following:
- 10+ years of professional experience with experience in the development of natural gas fired combined cycle projects
- Demonstrated experience managing the full project development lifecycle, from site evaluation and technology selection through contracting and financial close
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related physical science discipline
- A strong understanding of project economics and the impact of design decisions on overall project viability
- Proven ability to manage RFP processes for major equipment supply and EPC bids, and to support contract negotiations across EPC, interconnect, and auxiliary services
- Experience collaborating with and coordinating multidisciplinary teams including engineering consultants, environmental specialists, equipment suppliers, and contractors
- Familiarity with carbon capture technology, reciprocating engines, or battery storage is a significant advantage
- Strong proficiency in design drawings, GIS, and spatial modeling and analysis tools
