Senior Estimator; Heavy Civil Construction

Responsibilities

The Senior Estimator scrutinizes incoming inquiries, evaluates all technical issues, prepares cost estimates for the execution of works, submits proposals to clients, and negotiates terms and conditions with clients to secure contract awards. The role requires extensive knowledge of construction methods, costs, and engineering principles. The Senior Estimator will directly organize and manage a diverse multidisciplinary team of Estimators and support staff, estimate costs for self‑performed work and project indirect costs, review estimates prepared by team members, and manage risk.

The position demands a self‑starter who can meet critical deadlines and lead effectively as part of a larger team. The Senior Estimator may also serve as Sponsor for a pursuit when the value requires it.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar technical training and a minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
• 10–15 years of professional experience in construction estimating or related fields.
• Mastery level knowledge of the job area obtained through advanced education and experience.
• Deep knowledge of project management.
