Position: Sr Structural Engineer (Data Center) 36945

Senior Structural Engineer – Advanced Manufacturing Team The role focuses on structural engineering assignments for Data Center projects, including new builds, retrofits, and colocation sites. The engineer will perform analysis, create computer models, calculate member designs and foundations, prepare material take‑offs, and produce miscellaneous calculations to support project delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of structural analyses.
  • Create computer models for structures.
  • Calculate member designs and foundations; prepare material take‑offs for estimating.
  • Prepare miscellaneous calculations and assist with schedule coordination.
  • Coordinate designs with internal professionals and other Jacobs offices (domestic and international).
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and designers on capital projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 8 or more years of professional experience in structural engineering.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (eligible to obtain additional state registrations).
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as Auto Cad, Revit, Micro Station, and S3D.
  • Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
  • Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other industry design codes and standards.
  • Knowledge and application of building codes.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite, including MS Teams.
  • Travel to client sites 10%–20% of the time.
Preferred Skills
  • Master of Science in Engineering.
  • Experience with industrial metals projects, including casting and rolling operations.
  • Ability to lead teams to deliver commitments on schedule and on budget while meeting quality and client expectations.
