Job Title: Hollowcore Engineer/Scientist
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Pay Range: $160,000 - $200,000
What's the Job?- Lead the development and optimization of hollow core fiber (HCF) draw processes to enhance quality, reliability, and scalability.
- Investigate the relationship between process parameters, fiber properties, and manufacturing outcomes to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop innovative solutions to improve process uniformity, throughput, and defect reduction.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and develop equipment and techniques for process enhancement.
- Conduct process trials, analyze data, and document procedures to support operational excellence and training initiatives.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in process development, manufacturing, or related technical environments.
- Experience with Hollow Core Fiber (HCF) draw processes is preferred.
- Proficiency in data analysis, experimental design, and process optimization methods.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex process challenges.
