- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline
- 15+ years of experience designing and developing complex systems and devices
- 10+ years of experience within the medical device industry
- 5+ years of engineering management or people leadership experience
- Strong background in optical‑mechanical system design and packaging
- Experience leading the development of optical devices and subsystems
- Working knowledge of optical materials, coatings, and geometric optics
- Experience with optical system integration and troubleshooting
- Advanced proficiency with Solid Works
- Experience integrating Zemax optical designs into mechanical hardware
- Strong understanding of thermal management solutions
- Expertise in tolerance analysis, GD&T, and engineering documentation
- Deep understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes for optical assemblies
- Master's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- Experience developing mid‑power laser systems
- Knowledge of disposable surgical fiber products
- Expertise in thermal management of laser‑based systems
- Familiarity with additive manufacturing technologies
- Experience with laser‑sintered metal components
- Experience supporting FDA‑regulated medical device development
- Experience introducing advanced manufacturing technologies into product development
