Step Into Your New Role as a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer joining the New England Water Team. This position involves planning, design, and construction projects for water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

• Develop and provide technical design support for water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with local and national regulations.
• Perform engineering calculations, analyze results, and communicate technical processes effectively to team members and clients.
• Participate in or lead field reconnaissance activities and site visits to assess project needs and conditions.
• Collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary team, contributing ideas and recommendations that leverage engineering expertise.
• Prepare and review design plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
• Support project management tasks, including scheduling, permitting, and construction coordination.
• Prepare reports, proposals, and other project‑related documentation.
• Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering a positive, collaborative team environment.
• Engage in professional development activities to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

• B.S. in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 6‑10 years of experience in water and wastewater design projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; motivated candidates who can obtain PE within one year will also be considered.
• Experience preparing design documents, including cost estimates, schedules, and permitting support.
• Knowledge of water resources planning, distribution/collection systems design, and trenchless technologies is a plus.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, passion for infrastructure engineering.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design tools.
• Demonstrated ability to manage design tasks and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and technical writing skills.
