- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of Mechanical Design Engineering experience within the laser, optics, or medical device industry
- 5+ years leading technical development projects and engineering teams
- Strong experience with SOLIDWORKS and PDM systems
- Experience designing optical and opto‑mechanical systems
- Knowledge of optical alignment, packaging, tolerancing, and stability analysis
- Experience developing products within FDA‑regulated and ISO 13485 environments
- Strong project management and leadership skills
- Experience taking products from design through manufacturing transfer
- MS in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with thermal management systems for lasers and optics
- Experience integrating mechanical, optical, and electronic subsystems
- Rapid prototyping experience for clinical and pre‑clinical studies
- Familiarity with CE Mark, FDA, and global medical device regulatory requirements
- Experience managing suppliers and external development partners
- Patent development or intellectual property experience
