Your RoleAs a Structural Project Engineer in our Forensics Practice, you’ll take on a key technical and coordination role, owning complex design challenges, guiding junior engineers, and shaping the delivery of innovative forensic solutions. You’ll work across disciplines, contribute to project management, and begin stepping into more client‑facing opportunities. WhatYou’ll Do
- Lead and refine structural evaluations and failure analyses, solving project challenges with strong engineering judgment.
- Drive the quality of deliverables by organizing information clearly and reviewing junior staff’s work.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, legal teams, insurance professionals, contractors, and other stakeholders while taking on increased responsibility for technical decisions.
- Support junior team members through effective delegation and feedback, helping build a strong and collaborative team culture.
- Grow your project leadership skills by assisting with project management activities and engaging in client‑facing opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering;
Master’s or PhD preferred. - Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Structural Engineer (SE) licensure preferred.
- 4+ years of structural engineering experience with proficiency in analysis and documentation tools like SAP
2000, ETABS, RAM, RISA‑3D, PCA software, Revit, or AutoCAD. - Solve complex problems with confidence, balancing priorities, and adapting designs effectively.
- Lead coordination across disciplines, communicate clearly, and mentor junior staff while growing your professional presence.
The rate for this position generally is $98,000 – $113,000 annually, based on Massachusetts Equal Pay rules and other factors, and may vary depending on location and experience.
