Job Description & How to Apply Below
We are looking for a talented Robotics Manipulation Engineer to join a fast‑growing robotics company building the next generation of intelligent robotic systems. You will own the design, development, and deployment of manipulation capabilities, working across the full stack from motion planning through to real‑world hardware integration.
This is a high‑impact, hands‑on role for someone who thrives in a scale‑up environment and wants to see their work deployed in the real world.
What You Will- Do design and implement motion planning and control algorithms for robotic arm manipulation tasks
- Develop grasp planning pipelines, integrating perception and sensor data to enable reliable object interaction
- Build and tune controllers for compliant, force‑controlled, and dexterous manipulation
- Collaborate with perception and ML teams to close the loop between vision and physical interaction
- Conduct hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing and iterate quickly from simulation to real‑world deployment
- Contribute to the architecture of the manipulation software stack, including APIs and interfaces
- Document designs, test results, and system performance to support cross‑functional engineering teams
- Degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Hands‑on experience developing manipulation systems on real robotic hardware
- Strong grounding in motion planning frameworks such as Move It, OMPL, or similar
- Proficiency in ROS or ROS2, with production‑level C++ or Python
- Experience with grasp planning, contact modeling, or force and torque control
- Familiarity with simulation environments such as Isaac Sim, Gazebo, or Py Bullet
- Ability to work across the sim‑to‑real gap and debug hardware behavior in the field
- Experience with learning‑based manipulation approaches including imitation learning or reinforcement learning
- Background in compliant or soft robotics systems
- Exposure to DFMEA, functional safety standards, or safety‑critical system design
- Prior experience at a robotics startup or scale‑up
- Offer:
Competitive base salary and meaningful equity - Opportunity to work on cutting‑edge manipulation technology with real‑world deployment
- Collaborative, engineering‑led culture with fast decision‑making
- Flexible working arrangements
- Strong benefits package including healthcare, 401k, and more
