A day in the life:
As the VP, Data Center Construction, you will take ownership for leading construction activities of data center delivery (both speculative and build‑to‑suit). You will ensure accurate staffing, provide cost and budget information for investment memos, lead the technical side of the entitlement process, optimize designs and contractor bidding, and actively mentor a best‑in‑class development team. The position requires a high degree of energy, passion, outgoing personality, technical competence, and integrity.

You will be based in our East Region and interact daily with Prologis data center, development, and deployment teams.

• Coach the Prologis data center project management team across performance, staffing and growth.
• Lead the construction process for new‑build and retrofit data center projects, ensuring alignment with company standards and client requirements from concept to completion.
• Work closely with the data center design team to uphold design integrity and resolve construction challenges related to design intent.
• Own development portfolio performance (cost, schedule, quality, safety).
• Monitor project milestones to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables.
• Coach and lead junior colleagues by providing feedback, supervising performance, sharing expertise and honing judgment skills.
• Accountable for ongoing innovation and initiatives.
• Drive impact and show strength of lean construction, GC bid negotiations and design optimization initiatives against targets.
• Develop and own relationships with general contractors.
• Work with procurement to own cost‑saving measures.

• 10+ years of experience in a similar role working in the field of Real Estate – Development (data center focused), Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• Consistent track record in land development or construction management.
• Computer proficiency: MS Project, Blue Beam, Google Earth, and standard Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience championing a project from acquisition through due diligence, entitlements and permitting.
• Self‑motivated and able to multi‑task and prioritize with minimal direction.
• Hardworking, positive demeanor; standout colleague and customer‑service oriented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive approach to solutions and problem solving.
• Passion for promoting the Prologis brand with a can‑do attitude and focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ability to travel as necessary (approximately 30%).

• Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering (Civil or Structural), or equivalent experience.
• Additional experience on design‑and‑build projects.
• Willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed; sound judgment, creative thinking, and accountability for outcomes.

Hiring Salary Range: $215,000 - $295,000 (plus bonus target & LTI.
