Mechanical Project Engineer – Boston, MA
Dewberry is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to support design and construction of MEP projects in the Boston area, with occasional travel throughout the Northeast. The role supports design-build and design-bid-build projects, including renovation of existing facilities, public facilities, and transit stations. Responsibilities also include coordination with other trades and support to Project Managers.
Responsibilities- Project management for multiple facilities or related mechanical engineering projects.
- Ensure project delivery and technical quality.
- Assign tasks to engineers, technicians, or administrative staff.
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of work; perform analysis and design.
- Prepare scope, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
- Assist with proposals for professional services.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- Mechanical Professional Engineering license required or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in design and/or construction of mechanical and plumbing systems.
- Knowledge of IBC and NFPA codes applicable to public facilities.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and other computer applications.
- Commitment to safety, quality assurance/quality control, and risk management.
- Strong technical experience in mechanical and plumbing systems.
- Team‑oriented work style.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Experience with MBTA policies and procedures related to safety and access requirements.
- Experience with MassDOT, MBTA or NAVFAC facilities.
Must possess a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ability to pass a driving record background check.

Salary RangeThe projected range for this position is $117,250 to $150,750 annually for Boston, MA. The range may vary slightly based on skills, experience, location, and market conditions.
