Responsibilities
- Perform design‑of‑experiments studies to identify critical process parameters and characterize normal operating ranges, process acceptable ranges for each unit operation.
- Collaborate with process and analytical teams to develop and qualify scale‑down models for Phase 3 process characterization.
- Contribute to locking a scaled‑up, Phase 3‑ready process through ongoing de‑risking studies.
- Support technology transfers of late‑stage programs to manufacturing sites and assist with batch readiness activities and technical investigations.
- Author process development and characterization reports and support regulatory documentation drafting.
- Participate in technical discussions and meetings; proactively communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Maintain updated lab notebooks and support equipment troubleshooting and maintenance as needed.
- BS degree in a relevant scientific discipline (Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field) with 3+ years of industry experience in LNP formulation, OR MS degree in a relevant discipline with 1+ years of industry experience in LNP formulation.
- Hands‑on experience with LNP unit operations such as tangential flow filtration, high‑pressure mixing, filtration, and lipid solubilization.
- Experience using statistical software to analyze and trend large datasets and to guide future studies and reporting.
- Strong experience with process development and process characterization is strongly preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a team‑driven, goal‑oriented environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration.
- Ability to prioritize multiple activities and handle ambiguity.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage range for this position is $71,250 - $187,000. Full‑time employees are also eligible for a company bonus, a 401(k) plan, pension, vacation benefits, medical, dental, vision and prescription drug benefits, flexible benefits, life and death insurance, time‑off and leave of absence benefits, and well‑being benefits.
