As a Senior Civil Engineer at Toole Design, you will lead the design and delivery of highly visible transportation projects. You will guide civil design teams on temporary and permanent safety improvement projects, multimodal capacity expansion projects, and major capital projects that involve innovative intersection treatments. You will collaborate with clients and interdisciplinary teams from concept through construction, mentor junior staff, lead client meetings, and translate complex challenges into creative, buildable solutions.
You will also support business development across Massachusetts and the Northeast, growing as a trusted expert in a company that promotes from within.
- Massachusetts Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within six months
- 10+ years of complex transportation and project management experience
- Proven leadership of multi‑discipline infrastructure design and construction teams
- Strong networks and relationships in the New England transportation market, including existing clients with the DOT, municipalities, and other consulting firms
- It would be a plus to have design and project management experience in both multimodal transportation and roadway design projects, and to be comfortable presenting on projects and during interviews
