A growing structural engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join its expanding team. This position offers the opportunity to lead a diverse portfolio of building projects while playing a key role in project delivery, client management, and mentoring junior engineers.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in structural engineering, proven project leadership experience, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions across a variety of building types.
Location: Greater Boston Area
Job Type: Full-Time | Hybrid
- Lead structural design and analysis for building projects from concept through construction.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and maintain strong working relationships.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Perform and oversee structural calculations, design documents, and construction administration services.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control reviews to ensure technical excellence.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of deliverables.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 5-10+ years of structural engineering experience focused on buildings.
- Proven experience leading projects and working directly with clients.
- Strong understanding of structural design principles and applicable building codes.
- Experience with structural analysis and design software such as RISA, Revit, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Structural Engineer (SE) license.
- Experience mentoring junior staff.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience across a variety of project sectors including commercial, institutional, educational, healthcare, and mixed-use developments.
- Competitive salary: $100,000 - $130,000
