Salary Range: $120,000 - $165,000+ base salary, depending on experience, licensure, and project management responsibilities.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join a growing and highly respected engineering team in the Boston area. This position is focused on the structural design and delivery of building projects across a diverse portfolio including K-12, higher education, healthcare, commercial, mixed‑use, institutional, and public‑sector facilities
.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead structural engineering projects from concept design through construction administration.
  • Design and analyze building structures utilizing steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and foundation systems.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, deliverables, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, owners, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Review structural calculations, drawings, and technical specifications for quality and accuracy.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and engineering staff.
  • Attend client meetings, site visits, and project coordination meetings.
  • Provide construction‑phase support, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and site observations.
  • Contribute to business development efforts and help identify new opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
  • 6-15 years of structural engineering experience focused on buildings.
  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
  • Structural Engineer (S.E.) license preferred.
  • Strong experience with commercial, healthcare, education, institutional, or mixed‑use building projects.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, including client interaction and team leadership.
  • Experience working directly with architects, owners, and contractors.
  • Proficiency with structural analysis and design software.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high‑quality deliverables.
