Process Development Technician

The main function of a Process Development Technician is to support the design, testing, and optimization of manufacturing or laboratory processes. A typical Process Development Technician works closely with engineers and scientists to implement new procedures, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure process efficiency and compliance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and scale-up of new manufacturing or laboratory processes
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain process equipment and instrumentation
• Collect and analyze data to evaluate process performance and identify improvements
• Document procedures, results, and standard operating protocols (SOPs)
• Support validation activities including IQ/OQ/PQ testing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and timelines
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations
• Train operators and technicians on new or revised processes

Skills:

• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and process documentation
• Proficiency in data analysis and process simulation tools
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Familiarity with GMP, ISO, or other regulatory standards

Education/

Experience:

Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Industrial Science, or related field preferred 2-4 years of experience in process development, manufacturing, or laboratory support
