Geotechnical Engineering Intern – Winter 2027

Geotechnical Group – Boston Office

Assisting senior engineers with field and office tasks such as subsurface investigations, laboratory testing, construction documentation, and report preparation.

Position begins January 2027.

• Assist with inspections of exploratory and construction activity (subsurface investigation and laboratory testing programs).
• Take field notes, draft construction plans, prepare as‑built drawings, review RFIs, and draft meeting minutes.
• Perform calculations, organize reports, and package submissions.
• Contribute to project coordination and support tasks as needed.
• Work both office‑based and field‑based assignments under supervision.

• Currently enrolled as a rising Junior in a Civil Engineering major at an accredited U.S. university.
• Completed at least one course in geotechnical engineering or possess a strong interest in the field.
• Working knowledge of soil mechanics theory and laboratory testing techniques.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Open only to students residing in the U.S.
• Master’s students in geotechnical engineering encouraged to apply.
