Lutron has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Electronics Technician at its office location in Boston, MA. Electronics Technicians work in a hands‑on environment as members of cross‑functional engineering teams supporting the development of new products. They work closely with some of the best engineers in the industry and can be involved in the product development process from initial concept through the development, testing, manufacturing, and support phases.
Responsibilities- Conduct extensive design verification and testing of both analog and digital circuits utilizing the fundamentals of electronics, electricity, and basic wiring
- Product testing, including user interfaces and communication protocols
- Hardware prototyping, soldering, troubleshooting circuit blocks
- Setting up and performing product qualification testing in a laboratory setting
- Developing test automation scripts for lab instruments
- Assisting in transitioning designs from engineering into manufacturing
- Coaching or mentoring other technicians
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Electronics Technology, Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology, or related
- Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA required
- Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience working with electronics including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), function generators, and other related equipment preferred
- Proficiency in soldering and reworking SMT and through‑hole circuits preferred
- Experience or knowledge of Python preferred
