About the Role
Anduril's Deployment Operations group seeks a Technical Operations Engineer for our Air Defense team. This Washington, DC or Boston, MA based role is not eligible for remote/hybrid work.
As a member of the technical operations team, you will deploy and support Anduril's products worldwide, working closely with engineering teams to iteratively improve them. You will coach teammates, guide users, advise account managers, and communicate product refinement to engineering.
What You'll Do- Support military air defense projects by executing technical operations, field maintenance, customer support, and training
- Catalog complex issues related to hardware, software, and networking in unstructured situations and drive them to resolution
- Communicate field issue status to internal and customer teams
- Support development and implementation of operational and logistical plans for events
- Ensure high availability and performance of air defense systems
- Maintain support plans for hardware and software
- Assist in event planning and resource allocation, keeping key stakeholders informed of Technical Operations requirements
- Conduct incident response root‑cause analyses (RCAs) for defense systems in the field
- Perform post‑incident reviews and implement preventive measures
- Maintain up‑to‑date documentation
- 3+ years of experience solving problems in unstructured environments at the interface of hardware, software, and networking
- Strong mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair critical site infrastructure (generators, solar power systems, hydraulic systems)
- Ability to meet health and medical requirements per DFARS 252.225‑7040, DoDI 3020.41, and additional regional/supporting force requirements
- Ability to travel up to 60% CONUS/OCONUS on short notice
- Ability to relocate to Washington, DC or Boston Office if not already local
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret/Secret clearance
- B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering, computer science, or a related technical field
- Network+ and Linux+ or equivalent experience
- Experience with fiber and RF systems (PtP, PtMP, mesh) and basic antenna and spectrum analysis
- Experience terminating power cables with NEMA or RJ45 connectors
- Ability to lift 50‑70 lbs
- Prior military or overseas contracting experience
$146,000 - $194,000 USD (base salary only; actual offer may vary based on work experience, education, and training).
