CDM Smith is seeking a Lead Substation Physical Engineer to design and execute extra high voltage substations (230kV–765kV). This hybrid, office-based role blends hands-on engineering with project leadership, client engagement, and mentorship of junior engineers.
You will lead layouts, protection and control, grounding, and equipment specs, serve as technical authority, oversee deliverables, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with clients, vendors, and civil teams. Travel up to 10%.
