Senior Structural Engineer Specializing in Marine and Waterfront Design
Stantec is seeking a highly qualified senior structural engineer specializing in marine and waterfront design to support our transportation practice in New England. The selected candidate must be able to manage and technically lead teams in the design and construction administration of complex waterfront projects for public and private sector clients throughout the region.
Your key responsibilities include performing structural marine and waterfront engineering assignments, overseeing engineering planning and design assignments, providing technical guidance and mentoring, analyzing complex problems, leading the preparation and coordination of project deliverables, ensuring safe work practices, and coordinating with clients and agencies to obtain and determine project requirements and approvals.
Your capabilities and credentials should include proven ability in staff supervision and leadership, strong collaboration, facilitation, and teamwork skills, strong communication and presentation skills, ability to travel frequently within the New England area, licensed professional engineer in one New England state with ability to obtain licensure in other states within six months of employment as needed, experience with engineering design tools, and prior experience with US Federal agency engineering and construction projects.
Education and experience requirements include a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university, advanced degree preferred, and minimum of ten years of relevant structural marine and waterfront structures experience.

Pay Range:
Locations in MN, OH, VT, & various CA, ME, NY, VA areas-$ - $ annually. Locations in WA, DC & various CA, MA, VA areas-$ - $ annually. Locations in NYC & CA (Bay Area) & NJ (RP)-$ - $ annually. Pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
