  • Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers, including I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, and related hardware communication protocols
  • Experience leading or supporting firmware development for hardware bring-up, validation, diagnostics, PLCs, drive systems, safety devices, and embedded systems
  • Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB design/layout tools such as Altium or Ki Cad
  • Experience managing engineering roadmaps, priorities, technical execution, and project schedules
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, provide constructive feedback, and develop high-performing technical teams
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills with experience collaborating across electrical, mechanical, software, product, manufacturing, and deployment organizations
  • Experience with electrical validation, debugging, test fixtures, DFM/DFT, and design reviews
  • Familiarity with electrical safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements, including UL, CE, IEC, ISO, RIA, and EMI/EMC standards
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex electrical and embedded issues in both development and field environments
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience scaling electrical or hardware engineering teams within a startup or high-growth environment
  • Background developing robotic systems, industrial automation platforms, autonomous equipment, or other complex electromechanical products
  • Experience taking hardware products from early architecture and prototyping through manufacturing, production, and fleet deployment
  • Experience working directly with contract manufacturers, electrical vendors, component suppliers, and manufacturing partners
  • Familiarity with electrical simulation, power electronics, motor/drive systems, industrial controls, and safety systems
  • Experience developing hardware validation strategies, test plans, automated testing, and production test fixtures
  • Experience supporting field-deployed hardware and diagnosing reliability issues across a fleet
