Engineering Manager – MEP Design-Build
We are seeking an experienced, innovative, and forward-thinking Engineering Manager specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEP/FP) engineering to help grow and lead a building engineering practice in Boston, MA.

The Engineering Manager will lead major project pursuits, manage and expand a talented engineering team, and work directly with prominent public- and private-sector clients. Projects may include aviation, transportation, research/science, higher education, municipal, state, and federal facilities.
The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical engineering expertise, leadership experience, and a passion for sustainable design, high-performance buildings, electrification, energy efficiency, and innovative HVAC systems.

- Lead major project pursuits, including stand-alone MEP/FP opportunities and larger multidisciplinary design projects.
- Serve as a technical leader and quality reviewer across projects of varying size and complexity.
- Serve as Design Manager on complex projects with significant engineering scope, partnering closely with project managers to deliver high-quality design documents.
- Lead interdisciplinary coordination and quality reviews to ensure engineering standards and project requirements are met.
- Provide technical vision and leadership for mechanical engineering projects and teams.
- Coach, mentor, and develop engineers at all career levels, supporting their technical, professional, and leadership development.
- Manage forecasting, resource planning, staffing, performance goals, and annual reviews for the mechanical engineering team.
- Collaborate with electrical engineering leadership on staffing, resource planning, and team development.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and key project stakeholders.
- Participate in client presentations and interviews and contribute to the development of competitive proposals.
- Support business development initiatives and identify opportunities to expand engineering services.
- Promote sustainable, energy-efficient, and high-performance building design solutions.
- Help advance technical standards, design processes, digital tools, and engineering best practices.

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably involving multidisciplinary building or infrastructure projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Mechanical Engineering.
- Ability to obtain PE licensure in additional U.S. states as needed.
- 10+ years of engineering experience, including at least two years in a leadership or management capacity.
