Proclinical is working with an innovative technology company to recruit for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join its engineering team. This is a senior, hands-on position that combines technical leadership with the opportunity to mentor and guide a small team of engineers.
Primary Responsibilities:The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of advanced electronic and embedded systems, working across the full product development lifecycle from concept through delivery.
Skills & Requirements:- 7+ years of electrical engineering experience
- Strong background in embedded systems and electronics design
- PCB design experience, preferably using Altium
- Strong understanding of digital and analog circuit design
- Experience with microcontrollers and embedded hardware platforms
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, and Ethernet
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Experience working within structured engineering and documentation processes
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable engaging directly with clients and external partners
- Design and develop embedded electronic systems
- Create hardware schematics and support PCB design activities
- Define system and hardware architectures for new products
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Lead technical projects from concept to delivery
- Conduct design reviews, testing, and validation activities
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners
- Support customer-facing technical discussions when required
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
- Contribute to engineering best practices and process improvement
- $150,000 to $170,000 per annum.
