Join a Leading Team as a Geologist / Senior Environmental Scientist!

Are you an experienced and skilled environmental professional looking to make a significant impact on exciting site investigation and remediation projects? We are seeking a talented Geologist / Senior Environmental Scientist to join a dynamic consulting team and contribute to the successful execution of environmental assessment, remediation, and compliance projects throughout Massachusetts and New England. Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute technical solutions to fulfill both client and project requirements.
  • Design field programs and manage associated project activities including scheduling, budgeting, task coordination, and subcontractor management.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage Site Investigations and Remedial Investigations from project inception through completion.
  • Set up work plans and field protocols, supervise field activities, and coordinate field personnel to ensure technically sound project implementation.
  • Coordinate the collection, reduction, and evaluation of environmental data to support project decisions and future client needs.
  • Perform hydrogeologic interpretation and technical data analysis to support site characterization and remediation efforts.
  • Prepare technical reports documenting findings, conclusions, and remedial recommendations for client and regulatory review.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and invoicing to ensure projects are completed in accordance with company standards and client expectations.
  • Manage subcontractors including drillers, laboratories, and remediation contractors.
  • Review project progress and proactively identify solutions to technical, budgetary, or scheduling challenges.
  • Mentor and support junior staff through direct field and office-based training.
  • Collaborate with senior management to continue developing technical expertise and leadership skills.
Qualifications:
  • B.S. Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Hydrogeology, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within the environmental consulting industry with demonstrated progression in site investigation, remediation, and task management.
  • Experience designing field programs and managing associated field activities.
  • Proficiency with project scheduling, budgeting, coordination, and subcontractor management.
  • Experience planning, coordinating, and managing Site Investigation and Remedial Investigation activities.
  • Strong technical data evaluation, analytical, and hydrogeologic interpretation skills.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with common environmental technical protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability and willingness to support the technical growth and development of junior staff.
  • Valid United States driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP).
  • Experience preparing ASTM Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification.
  • Professional licensure or pursuit of PG, PE, or LSP credentials.
Pay Range:

$85,000 - $110,000 annually
