Position: 2026 Turnstile Maintenance Staff Member

Department Overview

The Event Operations Team at the Boston Red Sox is committed to creating a friendly, inclusive, and memorable experience for every fan that comes to an event at Fenway Park. Our team consists of five groups—Ticket Takers, Elevator Operators, Greeters, Ushers, and Quality Control—working together to ensure fans receive outstanding service from the gates through the entire event.

Position Overview

The Turnstile Maintenance Staff Member works under our Event Operations umbrella, primarily supporting the Ticket Takers and Ticket Office. Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down ticketing devices each game, ensuring devices are functional before gates open, and verifying proper charging status at each gate before the end of a shift. The position requires completing all New Hire, All Staff, and TEAM trainings prior to the first day of work.

The hourly rate for this role is $16.50.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down ticketing devices before each event.

• Verify device functionality and charging status at gates.

• Report any equipment issues promptly to the Ticket Office.

• Attend and complete required trainings before first day of work.

Characteristics & Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work 65+ Red Sox games and 75% of concerts.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays;
    Saturdays/Sundays availability critical.
  • Ability to commute to Fenway Park and provide own transportation.
  • Ability to access e‑mail and enter availability via smartphone or computer.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Prior customer service experience preferred, but not essential.
  • Must be able to report to the park four hours prior to game time (e.g., 7:10 p.m. game, staff expected at 3:10 p.m.).
  • Must be able to physically lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work outdoors under various weather conditions.
  • Typical homestands can last 7–10 days in a row; staff will be on site for the entirety of shifts.
