Overnight Attendant / Garage Monitor (Non-Driving)

Pay Rate $18.00 per hour

Job Type Full-time

Location Lafayette Garage in Boston, MA

Shift & Schedule Monday - Friday 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM;

What we’re looking for
  • Direct patrons where to park.
  • Monitor facility capacity and adjust flow of traffic as necessary to access available parking capacity.
  • May assist with cashiering responsibilities, including completing the daily shift paperwork and recording transactions, vehicle counts, contract parkers, and tickets.
  • Provide the company’s standards of service with each customer, including maintaining uniform appearance, greeting, answering questions, resolving issues, and thanking customers on exit.
  • Perform hourly walk-throughs of the facility inspecting stairways, parking decks, and public/non-public areas.
  • Patrol parking garage property, stairways, elevators, parking levels and outside areas.
  • Test access control equipment.
  • Enforce parking rules and issue tickets or violations as necessary.
  • Monitor camera monitors for property.
  • Complete the daily shift paperwork of activities and incidents.
  • Instruct trespassers to leave the property.
  • Promptly notify management and/or authorities of escalated issues requiring attention or intervention.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly booth at all times, free of debris and trash with clean windows and no unapproved posters or decorations.

Must haves
  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • High School degree preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to provide customer resolution in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Available Overnight

Physical Demands: Stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with hands or arms, talk and hear. May occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 lbs.

Work Environment: Exposure to weather conditions, fumes and airborne particles. Noise level can range from minimal to moderate.

The Fine Print
  • Sign-On/Retention Bonus with terms and conditions.
  • Bonus paid in two installments: $200 after 30 days; $800 after 150th day of service.
  • Bonus offer ends 3/31/2026 and applies to new hires at this location between 1/1/2026 and 3/31/2026.
  • Referral bonus applies to new hires meeting the same date range and employment status; both referrer and referred employee must be employed to receive installments.
