Overview
Knife Drop Studios, the production company behind chef and social media star Nick Di Giovanni, is looking to hire an Operations Manager. This role is responsible for overseeing the logistics and planning of all productions across our channels, ensuring every shoot runs smoothly from concept to completion. You will be the central point of communication between contractors, on-set crew, recipe developers, and the broader team — making sure everyone is aligned and every detail is accounted for.
This includes sourcing and managing the best contractors at competitive rates (gaffers, lighting techs, audio engineers, etc.), coordinating production schedules, and handling all logistical elements needed to execute high-quality shoots efficiently.
Note:
This is a hybrid position (remote planning with in-person presence in the Boston area on shoot days).
You are an exceptionally organized, detail-oriented operations professional who thrives in fast-paced production environments. You have a strong background in production logistics and know how to coordinate multiple moving parts across teams, vendors, and timelines. You are a natural communicator who can keep everyone — from contractors to creative leads — on the same page. You are comfortable negotiating rates, managing budgets, and building reliable networks of freelance and contract talent.
You should have 3+ years of experience in production management, operations, or a related field.
Bonus — you have experience in food media production!
