Cashier

Work as part of Towne Park hospitality services, providing exceptional experiences to guests, patients, visitors, and colleagues.

Compensation: hourly base pay range $18 per hour.

Schedule:

part‑time Monday‑Wednesday 3pm—11pm; weekends required.

• Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients.
• Greet guests immediately, using appropriate greetings and last names when suitable.
• Remain accurate and composed under pressure.
• Use proper Towne Park phone etiquette.
• Assist guests with directions and inquiries.
• Provide information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities of the facility, and main attractions in the area.
• Determine guest charges and process payments via cash, credit, or direct billing, accurately categorizing tickets for audit purposes.
• Collect and reconcile revenue and furnish payment receipts.
• Complete accurate and timely shift reports and follow all standard operating procedures related to cash banks.
• Operate equipment, including registers, gates, and credit card machines.
• Obtain information about daily events and rates to be charged.
• Complete all tasks in a timely manner as instructed by the Lead Cashier/Account Manager.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One to three months related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide with two‑digit and three‑digit numbers, using units of American money.
• Read, write, and comprehend standard English language and simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings to guests, clients, and other employees.
• Understand 24‑hour and military time systems.
• Understand rates applicable to time passed.

Job is fairly routine; the incumbent follows established practices and procedures, with decisions made within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Errors in judgment may affect the smooth and efficient operation of the department.

Employee regularly required to talk or hear, sit or stand for extended periods, and may walk, run, handle or feel objects, reach with arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally or 25 pounds frequently is required. Majority of work performed outdoors with exposure to extreme heat and cold weather. Travel up to 5% may be required.
