Aspire: Five Program Accompanist

Accompanist Position

All accompanists must be able to sight-read lead sheets and rhythm section charts that have time slashes, chord progressions and additional rhythmic figures. Candidates must also be reliable, patient, cooperative and be open to taking direction or critique from the instructors/students. The students are prospective undergraduate students at Berklee and we expect them to be treated as you would other members of the community.

Seeking both upright and/or electric bassists.

What to expect in the ensemble?

You will be playing with a rhythm section, and the material will cover a wide variety of styles including, but not limited to, pop, rock, jazz, Latin, country, R&B, and funk. At the end of the program you are expected to perform a short concert with the ensemble you have been working with. The concert date and time will be announced during your first rehearsal with the ensemble.
