GBH enriches people's lives through programs and services that educate, inspire, and entertain, fostering citizenship and culture, the joy of learning, and the power of diverse perspectives. At GBH, we believe in the advantages of coming together to build community, mentor and learn from colleagues, and connect more deeply with our mission. As a result, the majority of our staff are hybrid and work both from home and onsite.
Our current hybrid approach requires staff to work onsite a minimum of two days each week, every Tuesday and Wednesday. Event Production staff members are also welcome to come in additional days each week when producing events or when requested on other days by their manager.
The Engagement and Events Department helps to engage, identify and convert prospects into new members and steward and increase commitments of existing relationships between the GBH Educational Foundation and its membership and in‑kind donor constituency, while adhering to the highest standards of quality and service for which GBH is known. The team also provides partnership opportunities to local companies and organizations that share with GBH a common value and commitment to the education and cultural enrichment of our community.
Through various levels of participation and project areas, such as Auction, Community Outreach events, membership events, Festivals, the Volunteer Program and new product development, the Engagement and Events team helps to support GBH’s ongoing member cultivation and fundraising efforts and our sustainability.
The Event Producer plans, executes, and evaluates a wide range of in-person, virtual, and hybrid GBH events, from high-touch major donor experiences to large-scale festivals serving the general public. Managing a robust annual portfolio of 25+ GBH and facility rental events, this role is focused on revenue generation through donor prospecting, stewardship, audience engagement, and strategic fundraising.
The ideal candidate brings a proven track record executing high-value events, excellent project management and technical coordination skills, a client-first mindset, strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
The Event Producer produces a portfolio of approximately 25+ annual events from concept to completion.
