* Occasional early-evening webinars or committee sessions and travel for client or prospect meetings, conferences or Investment Committee meetings and UUA General Assemblies.
Purpose
The Client Relations Manager is the primary relationship lead for organizations investing in the Unitarian Universalist Common Endowment Fund (UUCEF), and for congregations participating in the UUA Loan Programs. The role combines high-touch client service, clear investor communications, and precise execution of subscriptions, withdrawals, and reporting. You will partner closely with Finance/Operations, Legal, the investment consultant, custodian, and external managers and providers to deliver a best-in-class experience to investors and program participants.
Principal Responsibilities
- Investor and Congregational Relations, Service and Growth
- Serve as the primary point of contact for current and prospective investors to the UUCEF and current or prospective participants in the UUA's Congregational Loan Programs; respond to inquiries and proactively resolve account issues.
- Manage investor and loan participant onboarding and lifecycle transactions (new accounts, additions/withdrawals, transfers, distribution changes, authorized-signer updates, stock gifts).
- Maintain accurate CRM and account records (e.g., contacts, permissions, banking instructions) and coordinate approvals for disbursements.
- Prepare, maintain, and distribute offering, subscription and loan documents as relevant (e.g., Investment Information Memorandum, Operating Agreement, Subscription Agreement, Loan Program Terms and Agreement) in collaboration with counsel; coordinate annual updates and disclosures.
- Educate on UUCEF and UUA Loan Programs structures, policies, online access, and reporting; provide welcome materials and step-by-step guides.
- Provide "business development" support for growing the number of investors participating in the UUCEF and its future variants, and lead outreach and communications for prospective UU congregational participants in the UUA Loan Programs.
- Fund Reporting & Communications
- Coordinate quarterly UUCEF investor communications: compile performance highlights and commentary, schedule webinars/briefings with Investment leadership, distribute materials, and post recordings/resources to uucef.org.
- Produce ad-hoc UUCEF reports (holdings snapshots, values-aligned exposure summaries, fee/expense explanations) and maintain a content release calendar.
- Ensure all UUCEF and Loan materials are presented clearly and consistently (e.g., gross/net, benchmark definitions, rate descriptions, methodology notes).
- Interface with the consultant, custodian, loan provider and reporting vendors to ensure data quality and timely delivery of investor and loan reporting.
- Support Investment Committee: periodic reporting on UUCEF investor trends and feedback, address ad-hoc questions on investors and act as "voice of the investor" to the Committee. Provide internal reporting and metrics on the Loan programs for oversight use by senior management.
- Publish investor relevant Values Investing updates (e.g., shareholder engagement, fossil-free/climate-aligned activities) and answer values-related investor questions.
- Performs other duties as requested by supervisor, the Executive Vice President, or the President.
