Job Description

The Specialist, Investment Services will support advisors utilizing MMAS strategies through the Envestnet platform (WMS), acting as a primary point of contact for day-to-day service needs, investment-related questions, and ongoing relationship management. This role requires the ability to communicate investment philosophy, portfolio positioning, and market views in a clear, practical manner that supports advisors and their client relationships.

The Specialist, Investment Services will work closely with advisors across regional firms (including Baystate Financial) and national firms within the Mass Mutual Life Investment Services (MMLIS) network. The role is relationship-driven and service-oriented, requiring strong communication skills, responsiveness, and the ability to act as a consistent and reliable partner to advisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Mass Mutual Advisors (
    MMLIS
    ) advisors using MMAS strategies on the Envestnet/WMS platform
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with advisors through proactive outreach and ongoing service engagement
  • Respond to advisor inquiries related to portfolios, strategy implementation, performance, and general investment questions
  • Effectively collaborate with team members while also performing independently
  • Support advisors throughout the sales and service lifecycle, including:
    • Coordinating and delivering investment and marketing collateral
    • Assisting advisors with preparation for client and prospect meetings, including portfolio explanations and talking points
  • Participate on the MMAS Research Committee to stay informed on portfolio positioning, investment philosophy, and market outlook in order to better support advisor conversations
  • Proficiency with the Envestnet platform functionality and portfolio implementation best practices. And ability to share with advisors.
  • Conduct regular outbound calls to advisors as part of ongoing service, relationship management, and platform engagement
  • Document advisor interactions and service activity using Salesforce CRM

Required

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in the financial services or wealth management industry, preferably in an advisor-facing or client service role
  • Working knowledge of investment products, portfolio strategies, and market concepts sufficient to support advisor discussions
  • Series 65 license required (or ability to obtain within a defined onboarding period, if applicable)
  • CFA candidate or progress toward the CFA designation preferred
    , particularly as it relates to enhancing advisor communication and credibility.
  • Familiarity with Mass Mutual Life Investment Services (MMLIS) strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting advisors on the Envestnet platform highly preferred
