Piper Maddox are partnered with a leading renewable energy IPP as they continue to scale their complex finance function. With close to 6GW of operational assets in their portfolio, and a huge pipeline of development projects, this role is a critical hire for the function.

Reporting to the Vice President of Tax, the Senior Tax Manager will support tax forecasting and compliance for a U.S.

-based operating platform and its affiliated entities. This role focuses primarily on federal and state income tax projections and annual filings for U.S. partnerships.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the income tax compliance calendar, ensuring deadlines and requirements are met.
  • Partner with external parties to file U.S. federal and state income tax returns and quarterly partnership projections.
  • Correlate data and reports e.g. trial balances, extensions etc.
  • Review tax deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and technical correctness.
  • Ensure appropriate tax documentation is prepared, maintained, and archived.
  • Confirm timely filing of all tax returns, estimates, and extensions.
  • Ensure stakeholders receive required tax deliverables on schedule.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining tax department policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of professional tax experience.
  • 5+ years at a large public accounting firm.
  • Must have experience with operating partnership tax assessments & returns.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of partnership taxation, including GAAP-to-tax adjustments, partnership allocations, tax basis balance sheets, and fixed/intangible asset depreciation and amortization.
  • CPA and/or Master’s degree in Taxation
