Title: Fiduciary Tax Accountant

Salary: $110,000 – $160,000 + discretionary bonus

Fiduciary Tax Accountant

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review estate, fiduciary income, and gift tax returns including Forms 706, 8971, 1041, 709 and related state filings
  • Analyze trust documents and estate plans to determine tax treatment and compliance requirements
  • Partner with attorneys and advisors to support tax‑efficient wealth transfer strategies
  • Maintain detailed records of trust and estate activity, distributions, and filings
  • Support IRS and state audits, notices, and tax correspondence
  • Monitor tax law changes impacting fiduciary and estate entities
  • Assist with asset valuations and estate tax return preparation
  • Ensure timely filings and estimated payments across jurisdictions
  • Use tax and financial systems to manage workflow and reporting
  • Provide overflow support to broader tax team as needed
Fiduciary Tax Accountant Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • CPA, JD, or Enrolled Agent designation required
  • 7+ years of fiduciary tax experience within a law firm, wealth management, or public accounting environment
  • Experience with high net worth clients and complex estate structures preferred
  • Strong knowledge of estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax rules
  • Advanced Excel and tax software proficiency
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast paced setting
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
