Tax Specialist

Description

We are seeking an experienced Tax Specialist to support individual, fiduciary, and partnership tax preparation during a busy season workload. This role will focus heavily on preparing and reviewing 1040s, 1041s, and K‑1s, and requires hands-on experience with Pro System CCH or Axcess. The position is hybrid in downtown Boston.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and review individual (1040), fiduciary (1041), and K‑1 tax returns

+ Assist with partnership and trust tax filings

+ Ensure timely and accurate tax compliance and documentation

+ Research tax issues and support the team with technical questions

+ Maintain organized work papers and support audit requests as needed

+ Communicate with clients and internal teams regarding missing information or clarifications

+ Contribute to process improvements during peak tax cycles

Location:

+ Hybrid - Downtown Boston (2-3 days onsite per week)

Requirements

+ 5+ years of tax preparation experience

+ Strong experience with 1040s, 1041s, and K‑1s

+ Proficiency with Pro System CCH or Axcess

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or EA a plus)

+ Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail

+ Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment

+ Excellent communication and organizational skills
