A growing investment management organization in downtown Boston is seeking a Fund Accountant to join its finance and accounting team. This role offers hands-on responsibility across fund accounting, reporting, and reconciliation, with exposure to portfolio activity and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

• Maintain accurate books and records for investment funds, including general ledger activity, accruals, and journal entries
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual NAV calculations and supporting schedules
• Reconcile cash, investments, capital activity, and partner allocations
• Assist with investor reporting, capital calls, distributions, and financial statements
• Coordinate with third-party administrators, auditors, and tax providers
• Support quarter-end and year-end close processes, including audit preparation
• Review fund documents to ensure accounting treatments align with governing agreements
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2–5+ years of experience in fund accounting, public accounting, or investment management
• Experience with private equity, hedge funds, real estate funds, or alternative investments preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and fund accounting principles
• Proficiency in Excel; exposure to fund accounting systems a plus
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
