Job Overview – Financial Controller | Construction Accounting

Join our client's team as a Financial Controller in Boston, MA. This role requires expertise in construction accounting, particularly in highway construction. As a key player in their financial leadership, you'll be responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.

Boston, Massachusetts (On-site, 5 days a week)

• Leading financial operations with a focus on accuracy and accountability
• Managing construction cost accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting
• Preparing Work in Progress (WIP) schedules and budget forecasts
• Assisting in risk control, insurance programs, and contract management
• Developing company policies and procedures
• Collaborating with the leadership team on strategic financial planning
• Working with external partners for financial planning and reporting
• Ensuring compliance with corporate filings, payroll, and taxes

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
• Minimum of 7 years in construction company finance/accounting
• Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role
• Familiarity with Foundation Construction Accounting Software is a plus
• Experience with Unit Price Billing, Certified Payrolls, Union Participation, and Public Bidding is preferred
