Senior Accounts Payable

SDL Search Partners is partnering with a reputable private equity firm in Boston to identify a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing finance team. This is a hybrid opportunity offering strong visibility, competitive compensation, and the chance to work within a high-performing investment environment.

This role will play a key part in managing the full-cycle accounts payable process while supporting internal stakeholders across the organization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced private equity environment.

• Oversee full-cycle accounts payable processing, including invoice review, coding, approvals, and payment execution
• Manage vendor onboarding, maintenance, and communications
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and audit requirements
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes related to AP
• Support cash management activities and reporting
• Partner with internal teams to improve AP workflows and drive process efficiencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 3-7 years of accounts payable experience, preferably within private equity, asset management, financial services, or a professional services environment
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control procedures
• Experience with accounting systems and ERP platforms
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
• Strong base salary plus a competitive bonus structure and profit sharing
• ALL IN compensation: $100,000 – $125,000 (based on experience)
