Are you a graduate student passionate about the power of investing to change the world? Cap Shift is seeking a dynamic, values-driven Fellow to join our Client Team. As a mission-driven growth company, we work at the intersection of finance and impact to unlock hundreds of billions of dollars for funds and social enterprises addressing major social and environmental challenges. This role offers a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a culture of personal development and creative freedom.
You’ll be involved in sourcing, qualifying, and conducting impact, operational, and financial due diligence, as well as ad-hoc research for our clients. The Fellow will be exposed to the full spectrum of impact investments, from market-rate public and private funds to impact-first recoverable grants.
- Support institutionalizing client best practices by designing and codifying client onboarding templates, training materials, collateral, and process guides.
- Lead development of technology dashboards to track client engagement metrics.
- Prepare analytical tools and presentation materials for client meetings.
- Recommend improvements for client onboarding and reporting capabilities.
- Contribute to client strategy in technology, market research, marketing, sales, and client experience.
- Current graduate student or young professional with 3+ years of experience in investment analysis, consulting, or quantitative analysis.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in responsible or impact investing.
- Passion for delivering value for clients while aligning financial returns with societal impact.
- Familiarity with public fund managers, private funds, direct investments, and philanthropic capital.
- Expertise in investment sourcing, screening, analysis, and presenting operational, financial, and impact factors.
- Proficient in reading financial statements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fit for working in a high growth, flexible startup environment.
- Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with Salesforce preferred.
- Advanced or Undergraduate degree in Finance, Sustainability, Economics, Business, or equivalent preferred.
