Role Summary
The Operations Specialist ensures all trade entries into the accounting system are accurate and timely. This individual performs specialized operations related to routine securities processing activities in support of the firm’s business lines. Key responsibilities include executing controls, assisting others, accounting for trade activity, resolving trade problems, ensuring accurate and timely cash management, client contact (internal and external) along with 529 administration, reconciling trades entered into order management systems to trade processing system records, reviewing trade issue reports to resolve price deviations, managing daily cash flows with investment companies, overseeing trade confirmations, raising cash for fund portfolios, coordinating reallocation events, and providing cash projections to clients.
The specialist maintains teamwork with Trade Processing and communicates professionally to minimize risk and exposure.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated PC skills
- Ability to identify, escalate, and resolve a problem
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Effective time management and organization
- Detail-oriented and multi-tasking ability
- Teamwork and collaboration skills
- Capacity to meet deadlines and work under pressure
