Financial Analyst, Tax Accountant
The Tax Manager will be an integral member of a growing tax function within the organization. This role requires strong experience in partnership taxation, ideally within complex investment structures. The individual must be able to manage multiple priorities and coordinate various projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Review tax work papers and tax returns for investment entities and related structures
- Review state tax analysis prepared by external advisors
- Assist in reviewing tax filings for underlying investment entities
- Review quarterly and annual tax estimate calculations
- Oversee and coordinate work performed by external tax service providers
- Support investor distributions by identifying applicable tax withholding requirements
- Maintain and update partner/investor information for tax reporting and withholding purposes
- Track and manage various tax-related projects and deadlines
- Gather and review documentation to support tax filings and related calculations
- Analyze governing documents to assess tax implications of contributions, distributions, allocations, and reporting items
- Respond to investor inquiries related to tax reporting
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5–8 years of experience in partnership taxation, ideally with a mix of public accounting and industry experience
- CPA designation required
- Knowledge of individual, corporate, international, and/or state taxation preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and collaborative team-oriented mindset
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
